One client for email, channel messaging, calendar and todos — on Mac and iPhone. One list of what you are on the hook for, ordered by time, that can actually end.

Email and messaging, both at full fidelity

Every previous attempt to unify the two picked one and demoted the other. This one refuses to give either its own place in the interface. Mail is mail. A channel is a channel. They sit in the same list because they make the same claim on your attention.

Channels are built in, and their members are email addresses. Someone who has the app sees a live channel. Someone who does not receives an ordinary mail thread and replies by hitting reply — their reply lands back in the topic. Nobody has to install anything for you to work with them.

Your personal mail never reaches us

This is a structural commitment, not a policy we could quietly revise. Personal mail and calendar go straight from your device to your own provider over IMAP and CalDAV. There is no copy on our servers, because there is no path to our servers.

What we do host is the channel side: the messages in channels you create with us, and the addresses of the people in them. That is the whole of it, and the privacy policy says so in more detail.
